Last weekend, the front page of Sport reported Barcelona have received three offers for Yerry Mina.
These offers were above €30m and were from Everton, Leicester City and West Ham United. They even suggested the Merseyside club were ahead of the Foxes and the English capital club in signing the Colombian international.
Today’s edition of Sport claims Barcelona are looking to allow a few of their fringe players to leave the club in the summer transfer window. One amongst them is Mina.
Having arrived at Camp Nou from Palmeiras in January, the La Liga winners are willing to sanction the defender’s transfer. Ernesto Valverde is not convinced with the player and therefore will allow him to leave.
The Catalan newspaper reports the South American centre-back’s transfer is ‘advanced’, and Everton get another mention from the newspaper today. Barcelona are yet to communicate to Mina about their decision to sell him.
Mina, who scored three goals for Colombia at the 2018 World Cup, was reluctant to leave Ernesto Valverde’s side. However, he’s changed his stance and a transfer could be completed imminently for a fee in excess of €30m.
