Everton have joined the chase for Lyon’s Georges Mikautadze, according to a report from France.
The forward joined Lyon from FC Metz in the summer and has been mainly used as a substitute. He managed seven goals and an assist from 21 games, and it includes nine starts for Lyon.
Galatasaray are keen on signing the 24-year-old and their interest has been discussed in recent times.
Foot Mercato points out the Istanbul club’s desire to sign the attacker and then mentions Everton.
It’s claimed the Toffees and Bayer Leverkusen are the two clubs to join the chase for the Georgia international.
According to Foot Mercato, Sean Dyche’s side and the German club have ‘a lot to do’ to secure the player’s services.
That’s because the Georgian isn’t considering leaving the Ligue 1 side, while they are also not willing to part ways with him in January. Everton or any other club that want to sign Mikautadze have to convince both him and the French club.
