Genki Haraguchi has been keen on a move to England for some time, with it being reported in the German media repeatedly. There’s been multiple claims of a possible move to England for Haraguchi, and all that was missing was the most vital part… the club.
That changed a week ago when Germany’s Kicker reported that Haraguchi is ‘in promising negotiations’ with Brighton and Hove Albion. Bingo, everything was finally piecing together for the Hertha Berlin player, his Premier League dream looked possible.
But since then everything has gone quiet. Of course, that doesn’t mean the deal is dead, Haraguchi to Brighton isn’t exactly the main concentration of the German sport media.
There’s a little update. Hertha Berlin wouldn’t be too against a sale, report Berliner Kurier, and it could impact other transfers.
Valentin Stocker could be leaving Hertha, but there’s an issue of price. Berliner Kurier say if the German club get a ‘good transfer fee like €6m’ from Brighton for Haraguchi, then Stocker could be allowed to rejoin old club FC Basel for less.
