On January 28th, we covered claims from Italy which stated Leeds United were in a battle with Bologna to sign Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen.
Leeds, who were then managed by Marcelo Bielsa, were said to have offered €3.5m for the defender.
A few days later it was reported Bologna had pulled out of the race due to two reasons. Firstly, they didn’t think they could compete with Leeds, and secondly, Aberdeen were asking for €6m to part ways with their player.
The right-back has a contract lasting until June 2024, so Aberdeen are under no serious pressure in that regard.
Given the stage of the window, the Scottish Premiership club will also feel under no pressure to hurry, hoping interest from the Premier League can build and push the price as high as possible.
That, just like in January, could prove an issue for Bologna.
