A turnaround in Issa Diop’s situation at West Ham United is today reported by Foot Mercato.

The French outlet writes that despite David Moyes’ efforts to stop the defender from moving to Fulham a few days ago, the player is now set to return to the market.

Foot Mercato recalls that West Ham and Fulham had an agreement for the transfer, with the West London side offering €17.5m for the move.

Moyes told the Hammers to hold the player at the time, but the ‘situation has changed again’, according to the report, even though there are no big details on what made the club have new ideas about his future.

The story claims ‘the door is open again’, but West Ham’s demands will be higher. The club are reportedly ‘waiting for an offer’ of £15m plus £3m in bonuses. In Euros, that’s €21m, so still a little more than what Fulham had put on the table.

Foot Mercato’s story doesn’t say if Fulham would be willing to meet those demands, or if there are any other clubs in the fight for the signing.
