Back in the summer window, Watford and Mallorca agreed the transfer of Cucho Hernández to Spain on a season-long loan.
Now you’d expect him to be well adapted to his new club by now, but it turns out that he hasn’t even joined their squad, according to local reports today.
Diario de Mallorca says the player ‘hasn’t landed’ at the club and barely knows his teammates, even though we’re in November already.
The reason for that is an injury which Hernandez has had for a long time now. His hamstring problem hasn’t allowed him to train, and that’s why he doesn’t even go to the club.
Hernandez was supposed to be ready by October, and the Spanish newspaper believe the situation is becoming ridiculous. They don’t make it clear if he’s making his recovery in Spain or somewhere else.
Watford signed Hernandez from Colombian side Pereira back in 2017. Since then, they’ve loaned him out to America, Huesca and now Mallorca.
