Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham will need to put their hands deep into their pockets for midfielder Hugo Larsson, with Eintracht Frankfurt ‘demanding €60m’ for him.

That’s according to SportBILD, who cover the situation at the German club and what is likely to be a very busy summer transfer window for them.

The summer will be easier for them if they qualify for the Champions League, which is now looking likely as they sit five points of the Europa League spot behind them.

A Champions League place may help them to keep Larsson, or at least sign him to a new deal, but he does have a string of suitors in Europe after another impressive season.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are among them and he’s very much on their radar as they look to improve their midfielder options. Qualifying for the Champions League would allow director of football Markus Krösche to stick to his wishes, with him currently ‘demanding €60m’.

The German club are recommending that the 20-year-old stay with them for another year but if the big clubs come and offer such a price, it would be hard for Krösche and his team to turn them down.

€60m is a big price, though, and it remains to be seen if Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester City are willing to spend it.
