Seemingly on the verge of signing Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, Manchester United could yet make another signing, if Paris United, who have been rather good with Paris Saint-Germain news this summer, are to be believed.

Wanting a defensive midfielder and a winger capable of providing width, at no time did José Mourinho say that he wanted a right-back, yet he’s apparently after Serge Aurier.

The Paris Saint-Germain right-back had, after the signing of Dani Alves, asked permission to stay behind from his club’s preseason in order to sort out a transfer away from the French capital, and both Manchester United and Tottenham have been linked since.

The latest news from France was that Spurs and Daniel Levy were prepared to pay €20m for the Ivory Coast international, but the Ligue 1 side wanted €30m.

Yet, according to Paris United on Sunday, Aurier has agreed terms with Manchester United after his team granted him permission to talk to other clubs, and will now have to wait to find out whether or not he can gain entry to the UK.

Back in November 2016, the defender was refused access to the country for a game against Arsenal due to a case hanging over his head dating back to May relating to violence against police.

In a previous tweet, Paris United claimed the decision would be made on the 7th of August.

We’ll have to wait and see about all this, but that’s the latest coming out of France on the situation.
