FC Porto had a huge challenge this Sunday, as they faced the surprising team of Famalicão, who had been on top of the Portuguese League since the start of the season.

It turned out the Dragons dug deep and produced a great 3-0 win with goals by Luís Diaz, Tiquinho Soares and Fábio Silva, and are now in the lead due to their goal difference.

A handful of Premier League scouts were there to watch it closely, and Crystal Palace were one of them, acccording to newspaper A Bola.

The interesting thing about this is that Palace had already scouted Porto last week, in their Europa League clash against Rangers for the Europa League on Thursday.

So either the London side are very interested in someone from Porto, or one of their officials stayed a few extra days in the North of Portugal so he could watch another match.

A Bola points out that both Porto and Famalicão are looking forward to selling players in the January transfer window. That could be a great opportunity for Palace, who have had a very promising start to their 2019-20 campaign, currently sitting sixth in the Premier League after 10 games.
