Crystal Palace are interested in another Flamengo player, according to claims from Brazil.
Journalist Julio Miguel Neto writes on Twitter that the Eagles are now attentive to Flamengo fullback Wesley.
His report says that Flamengo are set to negotiate some player’s exits in the January transfer window, and the 20-year-old is one of those who could leave the club.
It’s pointed out that ‘John Textor’s Crystal Palace’ have an eye on the player, although there’s no big information on a potential offer from the Selhurst Park side.
Back in the last summer window, the London side spent €20m to sign Matheus França from the very same Flamengo, so they do have an open communication channel with the Rio de Janeiro club.
Just recently, Roy Hodgson spoke to the Brazilian media and praised Crystal Palace’s scouting for having found the midfielder there.
Something we must add here is that this is coming from a Flamengo-dedicated journalist, and it’s always better to take it easy when this is the type of source, and wait until a major outlet in Brazil reports the interest.
