Coventry City should soon benefit from Viktor Gyokeres’ transfer to Sporting again, according to reports from Portugal.

Newspaper A Bola today reveals that as soon as the striker scores 25 goals for the Lions, they’ll pay the Championship side €1m more.

That was agreed last summer, when the clubs agreed Gyokeres’ transfer to Sporting. Back then, Coventry City sold the striker for €20m plus €4m in bonuses.

Those objectives haven’t all been revealed, and some of the Portuguese media today got hold of information about this next payment coming up.

Gyokeres has been having an outstanding season in his first year with Sporting, currently with 24 goals and ten assists in 27 appearances.

The striker scored four goals in his last two league matches, so Coventry City can probably be sure that this next payment won’t take long to show up.

Now what the Championship side should really keep an eye on is the 15% they get from the profit made in a future transfer. Because it’s getting more and more clear that Gyokeres will soon leave Sporting for a huge fee.
