Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a good start to the season and extended their unbeaten run in the league by registering a 6-2 victory over Leicester City at the weekend.
The north London club are third in the table with 17 points, level on points with Manchester City, and a point behind leaders, Arsenal.
Antonio Conte has been vital to Tottenham’s good run in this calendar year and his long-term future has been a topic of discussion.
On September 15th, Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia reported the ex-Chelsea manager is not renewing his contract because he cannot wait to go back to Juventus next summer, if there is an opening at the Turin club.
Conte’s current deal runs down at the end of this season and Spurs retain an option to further extend it for 12 months.
Calciomercato state the coach doesn’t want to talk about a renewal at the moment and has postponed any discussions on this topic to January.
That’s because the 53-year-old wants to understand the Premier League side’s plans for next summer and also see if a ‘door opens’ to return to Juventus.
