If there’s one man who managed to get the best out Marcelo Brozović at Inter before Simone Inzaghi, it was Antonio Conte.
The Croatian was instrumental under the now Tottenham manager in their title winning season last year, scoring two goals and assisting another six in 33 league appearances, and there is a chance the two could be reunited in London.
It’s incredibly slim, though, since it’s already been reported that Brozović declined the chance to move to Spurs relatively recently, but if La Repubblica are to be believed, Fabio Paratici and Conte haven’t given up.
That’s because the newspaper, relayed by FC Inter 1908, when looking at the possibility of the midfielder finally renewing with Inter, explain that Tottenham and Manchester United are ‘watching the progress of the negotiations’.
While Brozović has previously suggested he wanted to stay in Milan, it’s stated that an offer of €8m/year arrived from Barcelona, and it made him ‘reflect last month’.
This suggest there’s room for him to be swayed, even if the preference would be to stay put, so it’s now up to Daniel Levy, Paratici and Conte to try and provide the player with an offer he can’t refuse.
Whether they do, however, remains to be seen.
