On Monday, a report on L’Equipe’s website emerged claiming that Manchester United had won the race to sign Amiens youngster Noam Emeran.
The 16-year-old forward, who has already represented France at U16 level, was said to have accepted an offer from the Red Devils ‘a few weeks ago’, but would stay with his current team for the next couple of months before moving to Old Trafford.
However, RMC Sport, a few hours later, had their say on the matter, reporting that while Manchester United were indeed interested, nothing was done quite yet.
In fact, the French media outlet explained that while José Mourinho’s side are ‘well placed’ to sign the youngster, Valencia, Juventus and Barcelona are all still in the race to sign him.
As things stand, according to RMC Sport, Emeran has yet to make a definitive choice, meaning there’s still a possibility the Red Devils could miss out on him.
One thing the report makes clear, however, is that Amiens will get some money for the deal, and the winger ‘should’ leave regardless of whether it’s for Old Trafford or not.
