Brighton & Hove Albion agreed a deal with Royale Union Saint-Gilloise for Deniz Undav in January and allowed him to return to the Belgian club on loan until the end of last season.
The striker arrived at The Amex in the summer after managing 27 goals and 13 assists from 41 matches for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
He has failed to replicate his Jupiler Pro League form at Brighton, managing only one goal so far. That came in the Seagulls’ 3-0 win over lower division side Forest Green, in the EFL Cup.
In the Premier League, the 26-year-old has been restricted to 18 minutes of action, which came from three substitute appearances.
Potter was satisfied with the attacker in training, but the coach left Brighton for Chelsea earlier this month.
The newspaper states Potter’s exit ‘does not seem good news’ for Undav, also because the playing style employed by his successor, Roberto De Zerbi, may not suit the player.
This could be a concern for Undav and he may have to make a decision if his situation at Brighton doesn’t improve.
