Juventus ‘want’ Leicester City star Youri Tielemans, according to Calciomercato.
Massimiliano Allegri is looking to strengthen the Turin club’s midfield this summer. After naming a handful of players, it’s the turn of the Foxes midfielder.
The website states: ‘And then there is a great blow that is being worked on despite the difficulties: Juve want Youri Tielemans.’
After enjoying an impressive campaign with the Foxes, where they went on to win the FA Cup and the 24-year-old scored the winner in the final against Chelsea, the Belgium international ‘seems to have reached the moment of definitive consecration’.
The Serie A side have followed the player from his time at Anderlecht. They are also aware it won’t be easy to take him away from Leicester, but they want to ‘try’.
Juve chief Federico Cherubini and his team have ‘proceeded’ with Tielemans’ entourage and assured him he’d have a leading role under Allegri, if he decides to leave Leicester for the Old Lady.
The Italian club are ‘willing to put’ on the table a ‘rich contract’ worth €5m net per season plus bonuses.
Leicester, for now, ‘raise the wall’ and make it clear they have ‘no intention’ to sell him. Tielemans is a ‘real goal’ for Juve, and the stance maintained by the English club makes it ‘complicated’ for Allegri’s side to land the Belgian.
