Hugo Lloris had already expressed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer window even before the Premier League side signed Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli last month.

After receiving offers from Saudi Arabia, the 36-year-old has now been approached by Inter Milan. On Friday, Foot Mercato stated contacts between the two parties have intensified over a potential deal.

This claim is backed up L’Equipe, who then provide more updates on the Serie A side’s pursuit of the Tottenham man. Their title states Inter ‘will make a proposal’ for Lloris.

André Onana, who was the first-choice goalkeeper at the San Siro last season, is clos to making a switch to Manchester United. Therefore, Inter, as per L’Equipe, want to make the Spurs star their new No.1 for next season.

Lloris’ contract expires in 2024. It’s claimed the Nerazzurri have been in contact with the Frenchman for ‘several weeks’ and will accelerate efforts to sign him in the ‘coming days’.

The report explains that Inter plan to do it by ‘converting these informal discussions’ into a ‘concrete proposal’, without specifying the fee they plan to offer Tottenham.

L’Equipe state Lloris isn’t the only one on Inter’s agenda as they are also tracking Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer.
