Just last week, we covered claims from Turkey that Galatasaray were regretting their decision to reject a bid from Tottenham for Victor Nelsson.
This came after a report explaining the player was preparing to leave the Süper Lig side in January, while Spurs were still interested in getting a signing done.
Well, the latest from Turkey, this time from Aksam, states that following his performance against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, an exit is on its way.
This will be great news for Tottenham, as it’s made clear that those in charge of Galatasaray ‘want to part ways’ with the player in January.
The reason for that is they want to make sure they get a transfer done before his ‘value decreases due to his poor form’, with the centre-back being pushed out of the starting line up.
It isn’t said how much Tottenham, or any other interested club, would need to get a deal done, but considering the situation currently brewing in Istanbul, it seems unlikely that €20m, which was said to be Spurs’ summer bid, will be needed.
Therefore, this could be the ideal time for Ange Postecoglou and co. to pounce, as it would give them extra depth in an area where they have recently been affected by injuries and suspensions.
