Just last week, we covered claims from the Italian media saying that Liverpool recently got interested in Lazio midfielder Daichi Kamada.

Agent Gianluca di Carlo claimed the Reds were one of the clubs who tried to sign him last summer, when he was a free agent and moved to the Serie A side for free.

It turns out that as TuttoMercatoWeb today shares a story on Kamada’s future, it seems Liverpool may get another chance to sign him for free.

Their article claims that when the midfielder agreed to join Lazio last summer, having signed a four-year deal, there was a clause saying that at the end of this first season, the parties would need to meet again and discuss whether they’d trigger the continuity for the other three years.

TuttoMercatoWeb says should Lazio and Kamada be ‘satisfied’ with his start at the club, the contract would therefore be expected to be extended to 2027.

Now, in case there’s any disagreement, and he decides to go, then Liverpool better watch out for a new opportunity to sign him for free.
