According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are still trying to get a deal done for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg.

In recent weeks the Turkish champions have been linked with the Dane, along with local rivals Fenerbahce.

Sporx today report Galatasaray are waiting on an answer from Höjbjerg over a proposed move to Istanbul. It’s claimed the Super Lig side recently held transfer talks with his agent in Italy and that the player is their prime target this summer.

There have been recent reports Spurs are prepared to sell the Denmark international this summer due to his contract situation. Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in signing the central midfielder.

It’s also reported Galatasaray have been offered his Tottenham teammate Rodrigo Bentancur, but he is seen as a plan B at this stage. According to Sporx the Uruguay international would be interested in a move to Gala.

The Denmark midfielder made 36 appearances in the Premier League last season, but only started in 8 games. Höjbjerg is contracted to Tottenham until June 2025.
