Bursa based newspaper Olay report Bursaspor are closing in on a deal for Kenneth Omeruo, and they are currently waiting for Chelsea’s answer regarding the Nigerian defender.
We recently reported the Turkish club are keen to sign Omeruo as they look to bring in a central defender.
Bursaspor recently lost one of their senior defenders, Titi, to Goztepe and it was reported Omeruo is the Super Lig club’s first choice replacement.
It’s claimed Bursaspor have agreed personal terms with the player and the Turkish club are hoping to confirm his transfer before their game against Fenerbahce on Saturday.
The Bursa club see Malmo’s Lasse Nielsen as an alternative to Omeruo, and if they they don’t land the Chelsea player they’ll switch their attention to the Norwegian.
Oneruo looks surplus to requirements at Chelsea and in recent seasons he’s been loaned out to Turkish clubs.
The player still has two years remaining on his Chelsea contract.
