According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas are again showing interest in Rangers defender Rıdvan Yılmaz.

The 23-year-old has yet to feature for Philippe Clement’s side in the league this season due to injury, but with Besiktas keen to bring in a left back, and getting a bit desperate, they are still looking to make a last-ditch attempt to sigh him.

Kibris Turk today report on Besiktas’ pursuit of a left back as they look to get some last-minute business done before the Super Lig window closes tomorrow. They say the Rangers player is back on their agenda and that the Istanbul side are lining up an offer for the Turkish international.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst made it one of his priories to sign a left back this summer and in recent weeks they been linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilón.

However, it seems like they’ve turned their attention back to Yılmaz after showing interest in the youngster earlier in the summer.

Yilmaz made 32 appearances for Rangers last season, scoring 2 goals. He’s contracted to the Scottish club until June 2027 after joining them from Besiktas in 2022.
