Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma is the subject of ‘several offers’ this month, with Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle all ‘interested’ in his signature.

That’s according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who says Brighton will need an ‘exceptional offer’ to let the midfielder go.

Bissouma has been one of the key players for Brighton since his arrival from Lille in a £15m deal back in 2018.

His regularly impressive displays for Graham Potter’s side have not gone unnoticed, and several sides in the top six of the Premier League have been linked with moves over the last few months.

It seems one of them, Arsenal, remain interested in trying to secure a deal, but they face competition from elsewhere.

Hawkins states that Aston Villa and Newcastle are also keen on a move this month but will have to make a big offer to Brighton, who have already ‘turned down’ a £30m offer. He doesn’t make clear if it is any of the Premier League sides who made that bid.

Newcastle being involved is no surprise given they want everyone at this moment in time, and they have the money to tempt the Seagulls.

Aston Villa are a little more of a surprise given their midfield options, but they are backing Steven Gerrard with money this month, and Bissouma could be an upgrade on what he currently has at his disposal.

Either way, all three are interested, but for the minute, Potter and co seem to be resisting all efforts to take their star man from them.
