Newcastle United and Aston Villa have have reportedly been following Juventus’ Arthur Melo.
The midfielder spent the previous season on loan at Liverpool, where he managed to clock over 250 minutes from four games. He will have to return to the Serie A side but his future may lie in the Premier League.
According to Tutto Juve, both Newcastle and Aston Villa are showing interest in Arthur.
It’s said the two English clubs are ‘thinking’ about the 26-year-old and the Old Lady ‘could receive two loan offers’ from these sides in the summer.
Tutto Juve make it clear this is their original information. They state the ‘most convincing proposal’ could come from Newcastle, who are interested in signing the midfielder, just as Aston Villa.
Juve, for their part, are ready to allow the South American to join either the Magpies or Unai Emery’s side on loan with a non-mandatory purchase option.
Earlier this week, claims in the UK stated Arthur is aiming to return to the Premier League as he’s wanted by two clubs in England. The details of these sides weren’t mentioned. They could be Newcastle and Aston Villa, if the latest report from Tutto Juve is to be believed.
