If El Desmarque are to be believed, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez spends every minute of the day trying to convince Manchester United to sell Paul Pogba.
The interest from the summer has not waned in the slightest, and the website are insistent that the Madrid chief is pushing to get a deal done.
As in the summer, convincing United to sell is not proving an easy task despite his numerous efforts and the different offers that have been made.
There’s now a new plan, according to El Desmarque, and it includes Vinícius Júnior as part of the deal.
They report that Pérez has prepared an offer that would include paying €50m for Pogba and throwing Vinícius in as part of the deal.
They are not so keen on the money being offered. €50m is too low as far as they are concerned and instead it’s claimed they are ‘expected’ to make a counteroffer suggesting Madrid pay €100m plus Vinícius for Pogba.
Whether Madrid would be willing to pay that isn’t mentioned, but even they couldn’t have been that optimistic about this initial offer given it would value Vinícius at €100m, a player who cost €40m just a year ago.
Manchester United were never going to accept that, and the ball will be in Pérez’s court to find a price that suits all parties.
It’s worth noting that other Spanish sources insist Pérez isn’t interested, and it’s Zinedine Zidane who has been trying to convince him.
