Over the past few weeks, there’s been a number of articles about both West Ham and Tottenham being interested in Sofyan Amrabat.

It all started (as far as we’re aware) with an article from Calciomercato.it, naming Spurs and Manuel Pellegrini’s side as competition for the likes of Inter, Napoli and Fiorentina for the Morocco international, currently impressing at Hellas Verona.

The website has published two other articles since then, continuously pushing the Tottenham and West Ham interest along the way, and there might be something in it.

At least, that’s what Amrabat’s brother, Nordin, who used to play for Watford, hinted at in an interview with Radio Marte in Italy.

He said, relayed by Corriere dello Sport: “Are Napoli interested in Sofyan? I’ve spoken to my brother’s agent who confirmed to me the interest of a few teams, and I can say that Napoli are among them. He is also of interest to a few other Italian sides and to a pair of English ones”.

Now, we don’t want to jump to conclusions, but could that ‘pair’ be Tottenham and West Ham?

It seems like too much of a coincidence, and with Calciomercato.it recently interviewing Amrabat’s agent, it would make sense if that’s where they got their original information from.
