After victory in the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray, Besiktas are now looking ahead to the next transfer window, and the club’s new president Ahmet Nur Cebi is planning to bolster his squad to compete with their title rivals.
Signing a striker to partner or compete with Burak Yilmaz is on their agenda and Aksam report Besiktas are finally ready make an offer to Everton for Cenk Tosun.
The Turkish striker has made just one Premier League appearance for Marco Silva’s side this season, which came against Sheffield United last month. Subsequently he could leave the club in order to get regular first team football ahead of Euro 2020.
Aksam say there are other clubs around Europe tracking the Everton forward but Besiktas are hoping they will be able to convince the 28 year old over a return to Turkey.
Tosun, who has also been linked with a move to Valencia in the Turkish press, is under contract with Everton until June 2022.
