It appears that Chelsea, while bidding left, right and centre for anything that moves, are also about to get rid of a big pain in their backside.

That is Tiemoué Bakayoko, who never convinced with the Blues following his big move from AS Monaco and has spent the past few years out on various loans.

The latest was a two-year deal with Milan, which was meant to be the end of his Chelsea spell, as the Serie A side were supposed to make him an important part of their team, play him and then pay for him.

However, that didn’t go to plan, and with Stefano Pioli refusing to feature him this season, everyone was at an impasse.

It got to a point where there was talk of Chelsea terminating the player’s contract, and Milan simply being happy to get rid of his wages, while Adana Demirspor in Turkey were trying to sign him.

Well, it seems to all be now coming to an end, as Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu took to Twitter to reveal that the Süper Lig side and Chelsea ‘have reached an agreement for the transfer’ of the French midfielder.

Not only that, but the Adana Demirpsor ‘will meet’ with the player ‘tomorrow’ in order to sort out the ‘terms of the contract’.

It all appears to finally be coming to an end, with Bakayoko edging closer to working with Vincenzo Montella.
