Turkish side Galatasaray owe agent George Gardi €7.5m after he brokered deals with Aston Villa and Tottenham in the summer, neither of which have worked out.

That’s according to Sabah, who say the club and the agent are working on a ‘payment plan’ for the deals, both of which have been ‘disappointing’.

The newspaper explains that Gardi was heavily involved in the Turkish side’s business last summer, helping to broker the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham and Nicolo Zaniolo’s departure to Aston Villa on loan.

He was also a part of the deal for Hakim Ziyech, whom he represents alongside Ndombele, but none of the deals have worked out.

He had assured Galatasaray that they would make a profit on the loan deal taking Zaniolo to Aston Villa, insisting they would be selling him for €25m in the summer. He’s struggled at Villa Park, though, and that is now unlikely to happen with him set for a return to Turkey.

Either way, Gardi has to be paid and Galatasaray are working out a ‘payment plan’ with the agent to ensure he is paid, even if the deals with Tottenham and Aston Villa have proven to be a major ‘disappointment’ for everyone involved.
