It seems Sporting won’t give up in their fight with Liverpool for Fluminense’s André.

In the past few days, reports from the English and Brazilian media have been claiming the Reds are engaged in a chase for the player, with contacts ongoing.

Now as Portuguese newspaper A Bola write about the situation, they claim Sporting will continue to battle Liverpool, despite knowing how hard it will be.

It’s said the Lions see ‘tremendous potential’ in the player, with him having a ‘big margin of progression’.

Spending over €20m on a signing is considered a big investment for Sporting, but he’s considered to be worth it. Not just because of help he’d bring on the pitch, but also due to a potential future transfer where he’d move for much more.

A Bola point out the Lions know that Liverpool’s interest in André will make things ‘even more complicated,’ but that won’t stop them.

So the Reds better get ready to fight for the player, as they shouldn’t have a clear path to get the signing done. Reports today have been saying they have the help of Jorge Mendes to take the player to Anfield.
