In what is one of the more surprising stories of the day, Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Tottenham’s Harry Kane this summer.

That’s according to Le Parisien in France, who claim the Ligue 1 side are ‘determined to succeed in their summer recruitment’ to ensure they surround Kylian Mbappé with all the right players.

They have ‘ticked’ the name of the Tottenham star at ‘the very top of their list of attackers’, because he has all the required qualities to bring the quality need to get them the goals they have been lacking in big games.

At nearly 30 years of age and a year from the end of his contract in London, now is the ideal time for them to make their move, which would, in turn, be a great opportunity for Kane to lift a few trophies before the end of his career.

That’s why Luis Campos has made him a ‘priority’ for next summer, but he ‘knows the obstacles of this kind of deal’, having already tried to sign Robert Lewandowski last summer.

Mostly, the price could be the issue, and ‘the sum of €100m is circulating’, which would be a ‘substantial amount’, even for Paris Saint-Germain.

The two clubs have ‘historically had good business’, so that shouldn’t be a problem, but there is also the ‘desire of the English striker’ to take into consideration.

With other clubs, such as Manchester United and Bayern Munich, also circling, he will be ‘spoiled for choice’, meaning Paris Saint-Germain might have to be extra convincing if they want to land the Tottenham star.
