Juventus’ ‘blitz’ in London for Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been encouraged thanks to the player wanting to leave the Emirates.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say Juventus duo Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna are targeting the midfielder because of his desire to move on.

Reports today have made it clear that the Juventus directors have been in London this week holding talks with various clubs over players as they look to bolster their midfield in January.

They were seen at Tottenham’s clash with Chelsea on Monday as a part of their efforts and interest in Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, but he’s not the only London based player they have on their radar.

The other is Thomas Partey at Arsenal, who they have been encouraged to move for as, according to TMW’s information, the midfielder has made it clear to the Gunners that he ‘wants to leave’ in January.

Why that is the case isn’t made clear, but the player has been playing a reduced role this season following the arrival of Declan Rice, although injuries have played their part in that also.

Either way, it’s said he wants out and that’s encouraged Juventus to make their move, although for now the player is ‘waiting for other proposals’ from the Premier League or La Liga.

That suggests Juventus might have work to do to convince him to move to Italy, but their interest in the Arsenal man is there nonetheless and he has been part of their focus during this week’s efforts.
