Milliyet’s Besiktas’ journalist Serdar Saridag reports the Turkish giants are hopeful of completing the signing of Leicester City’s Islam Slimani.
Saridag claims the negotiations are progressing slowly, but Besiktas are hopeful of getting an agreement for the Algerian striker.
The Turkish club have had representatives in London to initiate talks with Leicester City, as they look to get a deal done with the Premier League side.
Slimani started against Fleetwood United in the FA Cup on Tuesday night and assisted a goal, and usually does well when called upon, but Besiktas are hoping Leicester City will allow him a move to Istanbul.
As we’ve reported earlier in this transfer window, Slimani is a target for the Turkish champions as they look to bring in a replacement for Cenk Tosun, who recently signed for Everton.
It’s expected Besiktas will be looking for a loan deal for the Leicester City forward, and the move could help the player become the star of a team again.
