Today, we’ve seen a couple of reports from the Italian media talking about Nottingham Forest’s effort to sign Cristiano Biraghi from Fiorentina.

It was claimed that the Reds had put €6m on the table to sign the full-back, and an advantage the club would have is that the €2.2m salary they were offering the player was way above what the Serie A side could pay him.

It turns out, however, that the attempt isn’t going well as expected. At least that’s what Calciomercato have to say now.

The outlet first claims that Fiorentina are ‘hardly satisfied’ with the offer made by Nottingham Forest, especially because they ‘never questioned’ the importance the 29-year-old has in their squad.

Then it’s claimed that Biraghi himself ‘appears unconvinced’ of leaving the club, as he already informed his agent he ‘doesn’t want to consider the offer too much’.

Calciomercato already talks about the possibility of a new contract between the fullback and Fiorentina, so if Nottingham Forest really want the signing, they better improve that bid very soon, or they’ll miss out on another player for the position.
