Three months after Chelsea’s agreement with AS Roma for Romelu Lukaku’s loan spell, the Italian media is now talking about the possibilities of this temporary move turning into a permanent deal.
It’s Calcio Mercato who share a story with that scenario, recalling that there’s a handshake for the Blues’ valuation not to go over the €38m mark.
The Giallorossi are said to have a ‘great chance’ of keeping him permanently, and their director Tiago Pinto has been working ‘in recent weeks’ to understand Chelsea’s request.
It’s said Roma are now trying to understand whether the Blues could give a discount on that €38m price tag.
The response is still to arrive, and it’s well known that the Giallorossi must be careful about the situation. After all, Chelsea just want him gone, and in case some other club shows up with that amount, the Blues would have no problem in accepting a deal.
In addition, Lukaku hasn’t exactly shown a sense of loyalty in recent seasons.
