According to Milliyet, Besiktas are expecting formal bids from Newcastle United, Juventus and Manchester City for Cenk Tosun during the January transfer window.
The Turkish newspaper report Besiktas officials haven’t received any offers for the 26 year old, but they are expecting an approach from the two Premier League sides.
Milliyet say Juventus are the club showing strongest interest for the forward, although Newcastle United and Manchester City will provide stiff competition to the Serie A champions
After the game against Sivasspor this weekend, the Besiktas board will hold a meeting with the club’s manager Senol Gunes and they will discuss their strategy for January, which will include Tosun.
It’s been very well documented in recent weeks Newcastle United and Manchester City have been tracking Tosun, but it’s the North East club who have been linked the most.
Newcastle United tried to sign Tosun in the last window when they had a bid rejected by Besiktas, and more recently there have been claims they could put in another offer for the player.
