Fabio Silva’s stint at Wolves has never quite taken off, especially when the hype around his initial move is taken into account.
The striker joined for a club record fee as an emergency option when he was only 18. He’s now 22 and needs some clarity on his future, having returned to the club after a loan spell at Scottish giants Rangers.
A new career move might be incoming for the Portuguese attacker, who scored four times for Rangers last season.
Secolo XIX, as relayed by CalcioGenoa, have reported that Genoa are considering a move for Silva as they look to replace Albert Gudmundsson.
It is said that a move would be financially ‘demanding’ for the Serie A side, as Wolves currently value the forward at €17m.
Alfredo Pedulla has gone a step further, stating that Genoa have actually made ‘new contacts’ for the player, suggesting that they have now taken steps to sign the ex-Porto starlet.
It’s mentioned that the Rossoblu tried to sign Silva in January but they are now trying to understand if these latest contacts can lead to an agreement between the parties or not.
