Kasimpasa sporting director Nursal Bilgin has spoken to Bein Sports Turkey about the latest developments over the future of Trezeguet.
The Egyptian winger is reportedly a target for Turkish giants Galatasaray and although the agreement seemed close, the player has also been linked with a move to Aston Villa in the past 24 hours.
Bilgin said: “He just came to Istanbul after the World Cup. He told us he’s very happy to stay at Kasimpasa but it’s very tough for us to keep him in our squad. Clubs keep knocking on the door for him, we are prepared for everything.”
The Turkish director added: “His contract terms are clear. He has a €5m release clause. But there’s no official offer to us at the moment. I hear the clubs from abroad are interested in the player as well as Galatasaray. Let’s see what happens. If he wants to stay with us, then we’ll be glad to have him.”
Yesterday we covered claims from Turkey that Trezeguet wanted to hold talks over a potential move to Aston Villa before he made a decision on his future.
Newcastle United were said to be rivalling Aston Villa for the attacker, whilst reports in Italy said the player could be joining Parma.
Trezeguet scored 13 goals in the Turkish Super Lig last season.
