The Dennis Praet saga could be getting interesting developments soon, according to reports from Italy.
La Stampa (via TuttoMercatoWeb) claims that Torino director Davide Vagnati will ‘board a fight to England’ and speak to Leicester City soon.
Following the loan spell the midfielder just had in Turin, the club and their manager Ivan Juric are hopeful they can get a deal to keep him for longer.
It’s said Leicester City want something close to €15m to let Praet go this summer, while his contract with the Foxes runs until 2024.
Torino, meanwhile, are said to be looking for an alternative.
Their idea is to renew the loan, this time with an obligation of purchase, as long as some performance goals are met, based on number of appearances.
Vagnati’s trip to England is said to be to ‘unlock the deal’.
Even though the parties don’t seem that close to an agreement, a meeting with Leicester City certainly only happens because of the confidence from the Serie A side.
