Over the past month or so, you might have noticed a number of stories claiming Tottenham were seriously interested in Kim Min-Jae.
The South Korea international, currently playing for Beijing Sinobo Guoan in China, has all the attributes needed to feature in the Premier League, and represents a worthy and strong investment at the age of 23.
With Jan Vertonghen leaving a gap in José Mourinho’s defence, it’s only natural for Daniel Levy to want to replace it, which is where Min-Jae comes in.
However, Spurs certainly aren’t the only club circling around the talented centre-back, as Lazio, who will feature in next year’s Champions League, are also keen.
This comes from Gazzetta dello Sport, who look at the situation, mentioning the reports linking Tottenham to the Chinese Super League player.
They point out, however, that Spurs ‘have yet to finish the job’, allowing Igli Tare, Lazio’s director of football, to wriggle his way into potential talks with Beijing.
Seeing as they are having struggles agreeing a deal with Verona for Marash Kumbulla, Min-Jae could be the solution to that particular problem.
We’re not saying that Tottenham need to hurry up if they don’t want to lose out, but they probably need to hurry up if they don’t want to lose out.
