According to a claim in the Turkish media, Liverpool have an agreement in principle with Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.
The Croatia international has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks, following his performances in this summers World Cup in Russia.
Sabah have reported on the latest developments with regards to Liverpool’s pursuit of Vida, and they claim the player has agreed to a two year deal with the Premier League club, with the option of a third season.
Vida is still away on holiday after his country’s exploits in the World Cup and further developments are expected soon on his future.
Liverpool now need to sit down with Besiktas officials to get an agreement with the Turkish club. It’s reported the Istanbul side are looking for offers in the region of €25m for the central defender.
West Ham United’s and Everton’s interest in the player has again been reported by Sabah.
There’s been so many claims about Vida that it’s probably best waiting to see what the next report about Besiktas’ stance is.
