With Todd Boehly now the man in charge at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are going all out in the transfer market, having already spent heavily in the summer.
The American owner doesn’t appear to be stopping there either, with claims around Europe about the Blues being interested in various players, such as Rafael Leao.
However, it’s Germany where Chelsea appear to be planning the most, with a big Bild article suggesting the London side already had two transfer lined up with RB Leipzig, with those being for Christopher Nkunku and Josko Gvardiol.
Despite all of this, there is one man the German magazine believe is the Premier League club’s ‘absolute dream player’, and that’s Jude Bellingham.
The England international is already the star of the show at Borussia Dortmund and a regular for his country, leading many to believe he could be one of the best in his position going forward.
This is the type of player Chelsea want at their club, and Bild, after talking about Gvardiol and Nkunku, claim the €150m for the duo might not be their ‘biggest investment’.
That’s because they claim the Blues are interested in signing both Bellingham and Declan Rice, and primarily focus on the Dortmund star, as he is the one they have information on.
They state Chelsea are ‘willing to pay more than €100m’ to beat off competition ‘from Manchester and Spain’, with them adding ‘there have long been contacts’ with the Bundesliga side about this, who are themselves ‘planning a sum of €120m’ as their desired fee to sell their star.
A whole lot of money, if you ask us…
