With one week until the end of Ousmane Dembele’s contract with Barcelona, Spanish outlet Marca writes about the four options the player has on the table.
One of them is still a stay at the Camp Nou, as a renewal isn’t ruled out yet. Then the clubs who are hopeful of signing him are said to be Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain.
Marca insists that Dembele’s wish is to stay at Barcelona, but since there have been no new movements since the last attempt for a renewal, the other clubs continue to be options.
Chelsea are labelled as the club who’ve been ‘pushing the most’ to get the signing done. And on their side there’s the presence of Thomas Tuchel, who worked with the forward at Barcelona.
Chelsea are called the ‘best placed’ club in the race, and despite claims saying Raheem Sterling’s arrival would stop their chase for Dembele, Marca claims ‘it’s not like this’, insisting Tuchel wants them both.
Meanwhile, PSG are said to be continuing their contacts, despite claims saying Lucas Campos’ arrival would end their pursuit. And Bayern Munich are less likely, as their interest has ‘decreased’, even though they’re still in the fight.
With just a few days until Dembele becomes a free agent, Marca say he needs to sort his future out ‘in the coming days’.
