Maurizio Sarri wants to take Chelsea full-back, Marcos Alonso to Lazio this summer once he arrives at the club.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say the Spaniard is the ‘dream’ signing for the former Blues boss.
Alonso has been at Stamford Bridge since 2016, a run that saw him playing under Sarri when he was Chelsea coach in 2018-19.
He was a regular starter under the Italian that year in his 4-3-3, and Sarri remains a fan of him because of that.
Calciomercato go as far as to state he would the ‘dream’ signing for the left-hand side, although there’s no mention of whether Chelsea would want to sell.
Ultimately it will depend on how Thomas Tuchel views Alonso moving forwards, but it seems a former Chelsea boss, Sarri, is keen on a reunion regardless.
