On Monday morning, we covered a report from TuttoMercatoWeb which said Chelsea could make a ‘concrete attempt’ for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer.

It was claimed that the Blues are ‘ready’ to make an offer for that transfer, and their idea is to put €40m on the table.

It turns out that Italian newspaper Tuttosport today has a few more words on Chelsea’s pursuit of Onana.

They say the goalkeeper’s performances for Inter Milan ‘have not gone unnoticed’, and the Blues ‘continue to monitor’ him.

And even though the Nerazzurri have him as a ‘pillar’, it’s claimed that if a €60m offer arrives, then that ‘could not be refused’.

Despite writing that Chelsea are ‘lurking’ for the signing, Tuttosport doesn’t have any concrete information on how much the Blues would like to put on the table to get the signing done.

Judging by TuttoMercatoWeb’s first report, it seems the Stamford Bridge side may have to be prepared to increase that offer if they want a quick and straightforward deal.
