Since July, when Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick turned 16-years-of-age, Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola has been insisting Chelsea have a strong interest in the player.

It was claimed that right after the player’s birthday, when he was able to sign his first professional contract, the Blues sent officials to hold a meeting with his entourage and his family.

Then in the past few weeks, every time Nicola features a new video about Endrick, he points out Chelsea continue to chase him and that the Blues promise to make a bid very soon.

In an update today, it’s claimed that the Blues have ‘entered strongly’ in the fight for the signing, and there’s been ‘some meetings in the past few days’ between officials from the Stamford Bridge side and Endrick’s representatives.

It’s said Chelsea ‘want to show’ they have the best offer for the player. Not only when it comes to money, but also to have him ‘in the main projects from the club in short, medium and long term’.

According to Nicola, with Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid showing recent interest, the Blues didn’t want to stay behind and started making stronger moves. Given this competition, it’s said Endrick’s departure from Palmeiras should be made for around €60m.

The player, however, can’t leave Brazil until 2024, when he turns 18.
