Argentine star Javier Pastore has had a difficult start to the campaign at Paris-Saint Germain under Unai Emery.
The 27-year-old has been a vital cog in the Ligue 1 team over the past few years, but is now facing an uncertain future in Paris.
It’s reported the Premier League giants have confirmed their desire to sign Pastore in January. Antonio Conte allegedly wanted to sign the Paris-Saint Germain star in the summer, and the Ligue 1 club will evaluate his future in the coming weeks.
Pastore reportedly also has offers from China and Italy, but a move to the Premier League should be very tempting for him.
Paris-Saint Germain signed Pastore for around €42m in 2011 from Palermo, and it remains to be seen if they’d demand a similar figure or not.
Also, Chelsea are taking a gamble on a player who has been quite injury prone in the last few months, and managed just 16 league appearances last season. Several times previously when Pastore hasn’t been having a great time at PSG, there have been rumours of interest from elsewhere, maybe to help cement his position in Paris.
