The Danish media have got themselves all disappointed over not much really.

On Saturday morning, several Danish media outlets, including Ekstra Bladet, report FC Copenhagen have had an offer rejected by Celtic for Erik Sviatchenko.

All the reports of bad news for FCK from Celtic Park are credited to The Scottish Sun, but the newspaper makes it clear they’re talking about a previous offer, with the report linking to their claim of August 20th.

Since the first report of that offer being rejected, Sviatchenko has been spotted at Copenhagen airport, and a Celtic transfer talked up repeatedly in Denmark.

Whilst it’s always been noted that any deal will be difficult financially, and the initial approach was knocked back, the disappointment spreading in Denmark on Saturday isn’t really warranted. There’s nothing new.

FCK haven’t had a new offer rejected by Celtic, because there doesn’t even seem to be a new offer. And if there’s any genuine disappointment on Sviatchenko returning to Denmark that should be it… FCK don’t really seem to be rushing with this one.
