Used sporadically by Brendan Rodgers at Celtic Park, Odsonne Edouard is far from having a bad season on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
With four goals and two assists in 10 league appearances, the 19-year-old, brought in to provide strength in depth up front, could very well end up being very useful during the second half of the season.
Set to return to Paris once the campaign comes to an end, there’s already been talk of Celtic potentially making the deal permanent, but that would cost them money.
RMC Sport were the ones reporting it at the time, and while Le Parisien on Friday don’t sound as confident about that happening, there is a price, and it stands between €5-10m.
The French newspaper make it very clear Celtic do not have an option to buy Edouard at any time during the loan, and if the Scottish Premiership champions fail to open negotiations to buy him come the end of the season, his future appears to be another loan elsewhere.
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be waiting until then to decide what to do with him, so it’s now up to the 19-year-old to make enough of an impression at Celtic to ensure what RMC Sport reported earlier this month actually happens.
