Burnley have reached an agreement to signf Anass Zaroury, according to an update from Belgium.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims there’s a deal between the Clarets and RSC Charleloi for the attacker’s transfer, with the Championship side spending €4m on the move, with bonuses included.

The player is now set to fly to Manchester, as the medicals are scheduled to take place at the weekend. Once those details are sorted out, it’s said he’ll sign a four-year deal with Burnley.

The Clarets interest in the player had first been reported by Tavolieri on Thursday, with the journalist already claiming he was ‘close’ to joining, as there were ‘advanced talks’ for the move. So it seems today’s developments were decisive.

Playing for the Belgian side this season, the 21-year-old has already scored twice in five appearances. He’s been able to play both as an offensive midfielder and as a striker, and should offer his compatriot manager Vincent Kompany new options for the team’s attacking sector, as he’s sometimes used on the wings as well.

RSC Charleloi are also expected to have 20% of a future transfer.
